where our vision started

History

Fashion Interiors did not start as a company. It started as an idea.

An idea about how furniture could feel different. More considered. More refined. More connected to the way people live.

In the 1980s and 1990s, a group of designers gathered around Paul Cornelissen Sr. Together with Piet Vellekoop and Teun van Zanten, they introduced Galerie Clair, classic design, reworked with a modern eye. Clean. Refined. Different. Soon after, Jan des Bouvrie Galerie followed, in collaboration with Jan des Bouvrie and Gerard van der Berg— bringing contemporary living into focus through new shapes, materials, and ideas.

FROM VISION TO creation

Our people

In the 1980s, a small group of designers came together around Paul Cornelissen Sr. They weren’t simply creating furniture. They were rethinking how people would experience it. Together with names like Piet Vellekoop and Teun van Zanten, they introduced Galerie Clair, a concept built on reinterpreting classic design through a modern lens.
